BRIEF HISTORY

Archikonst ( a portmanteau of architecture and construction) was first published as by Quarter Group Publishing Company in 1997. After two years, the company was incorporated and became known in Broadwall Media Corporation.

The year when Archikonst first published was a crucial phase in the Philippine Economy, it was the period when the real estate and construction industry was seeing from the effects of the Asian financial crisis.

The maiden issue of Archikonst Magazine was very timely as it had come to help cushion the impact of the crisis cheering up the build and design profession with success stories, positive write ups and free photographs of that glowingly portrayed Philippine architecture and designs.

Through the years, it has become the tradition of Archikonst to introduce successful industry practitioners in the cover and feature stories to provide inspiration and pointers in life and career to its growing member of readers.

In 2011, Archikonst entered into its “bravo” phase. The magazine publishers decided to merge with the leading marketing firm in the industry which has paved the way for the establishment of Bravo Media International Corporation (BMIC).

BMIC is now the publisher of Archikonst, the Philippines longest-running architecture and construction magazine.
